Premier Community Bank Celebrates Power of Community Week
| Posted in Bank News
Premier Community Bank joined community banks across the state in celebrating the Wisconsin Bankers Association ninth annual Power of Community Week, held April 20 – 25, 2026. The annual event highlights the important role community banks play in supporting and strengthening the communities they serve.
To celebrate this year’s initiative, Premier Community Bank employees spent time throughout April and May sharing financial literacy lessons with elementary students across the Bank’s service area. Employees visited local schools and child care centers, and also welcomed students into local branches for tours.
This year’s presentations centered around the The Berenstain Bears' Trouble with Money by Stan Berenstain and Jan Berenstain, helping introduce young students to financial concepts in a fun and relatable way. Through storytelling and discussion, children learned about earning, saving, and making thoughtful money decisions.
Across the initiative, Premier Community Bank employees delivered more than 20 presentations and connected with over 500 children throughout local communities.
“Power of Community Week is a great opportunity for our employees to step outside the branch and connect directly with local students,” said Gwen Fischer, AVP Marketing. “Teaching children about saving and financial responsibility at a young age can make a lasting impact, and we are proud to continue supporting financial education throughout the communities we serve.”
