Storage is how you stop selling at the worst price.
Everyone hauls at harvest. Prices reflect that. On-farm storage buys you the ability to wait, which over enough seasons is worth more than most equipment purchases.
It is one of the few farm investments that pays you by letting you do nothing.
Run the numbers on basis, not just the build.
The bid tells you what the structure costs. What matters is what holding your crop is worth across a normal year, and whether the drying and handling capacity actually lets you use the space you are building.
We finance a fair number of these. We can tell you where the arithmetic usually gets optimistic.

What We Look At
- Bushels produced and what you currently store or haul.
- Existing bins, capacity, and condition.
- Drying and handling capacity, which is often the real constraint.
- Site work, power, and access.
- Contractor bid broken out by component.
- Whether the building also serves equipment or livestock.
What We Finance
- Grain bins, dryers, and handling systems.
- Machine sheds and equipment storage.
- Livestock barns, freestalls, and manure storage.
- Concrete, site prep, and utility work.
Call before you pour concrete.
Site work is the piece that gets underestimated and the piece hardest to finance after the fact. Bring the whole project and we will look at it as one number.
