Premier Community Bank Supports Financial Education at Marion Elementary

| Posted in Bank News

Premier Community Bank employees Tammy Daebler, Personal Banker, and Tara Knaack, Marketing Manager, recently volunteered with Junior Achievement (JA) at Marion Elementary School.

During March and April, Tammy and Tara returned for their second year working with Marion Elementary’s third grade classrooms, delivering the JA Our City® curriculum. Over five one-hour sessions, students explored how to make smart choices about managing money, recognized different payment methods, and gained a better understanding of how money moves through a city.

In addition, Tara volunteered with first grade classrooms this year, teaching Mrs. Fetting’s and Mrs. Schroeder’s classes through the JA Our Families® program. Students were introduced to how families earn money, the role of businesses in the community, and how goods and services meet everyday needs.

“I really enjoyed volunteering again this year and was excited to expand into the first grade classrooms,” said Tara Knaack. “Watching the children learn and seeing their excitement makes all the time and preparation truly worthwhile.”

Premier Community Bank values opportunities to partner with programs like Junior Achievement that make a lasting impact on students and the community.
